What was your introduction to the Finance industry?
I was introduced to finance by my father at a young age. In college, I was fascinated by mathematics and loved how numbers work in a financial setting. After taking the gap semester in my senior year and doing a few internships in the VC industry, I fell in love with investment and decided to pursue my career in VC.
What type of impact are you hoping to make in the ACE community?
I hope to help women, especially Asian women to have a voice in the financial industry and let more talented women be seen and heard.
When and why did women empowerment in finance start to become an important issue for you?
I started to become aware of the women empowerment topic since college. After working in banking for one year, I witnessed firsthand how few women are involved in leadership roles in business and finance. However, there are so many talented women that should be represented.
What inspires you and keeps you motivated?
I am most inspired by my career and fellow teammates. Venture capital investment is my passion, and I am motivated to go to work every day. Further, I am surrounded by a great team with multiple talents which in turn drives me to show up everyday.
What are your interests and a fun fact about yourself?
During my free time, I like playing tennis, sailing, and boxing. Fun fact: I am a certified private pilot.
